Voice Radio can now broadcast outside thanks to the Big Lottery Fund! Voice Radio
applied to the Big Lottery Fund to purchase a portable broadcasting kit to get out
into the heart of the community. A bid was submitted in January 2008, and after
three months of nervous waiting, we were pleased to receive the news that we were
to receive £4,800 to purchase the equipment. A huge thank you to the support from
the Big Lottery Fund!

The outside broadcasting kit is of the very highest standards, purchased directly
from the specialists at Psquared.
The kit (which is all connected to a high-spec PA System when at events) comprises
of the following equipment :
- 1 D&R Airmate eight triple channel audio mixer housed in secure Mixer Flight Case
- 1 19” rack flight case rack pod containing twin CD players & 1 rack mount playout
Myriad PC with multi-channel sound card
- Myriad professional playout software used throughout the broadcast radio industry,
and Myriad Voice Tracking Module allowing you to add voice links either locally or
remotely
- 1 17” LCD computer monitor
- 1 K500 Myriad special keyboard for use with Myriad playout software
- 1 pair of active studio monitor powered speakers
- 1 studio main presenter microphone
- 2 guest microphones for 2nd presenter or guests
- 2 angle poise mic arms fitted with desk clamps
- 2 headphones
- 1 mic live light sign that illuminates when the mic is on
- 1 radio wall clock synchronised via radio for perfect time
- 1 pre-built cable loom plug and play with easy phono connections
